Janet Gutierrez
I started making soap over 25 yrs ago due to skin allergies. My years of self- research, years of hands on classroom work with herbalists, and on line course work. I have an Aroma therapy level 1 certification This beget my current soap/body care business.  I am currently enrolled in the Bitter Herb Herbal Certification Program. The name you say?? I am Bohemian, my grandparents were legal immigrants from Czech and Poland. I have been to Prague / Czech Republic 2x . I lived Overseas, as my hubby was career Air Force. I live on the Kansas Prairie, currently 10 acres, I did have over 50. I am an Alchemist. I have a Bachelor of Social Work/Native American Degree and a Masters Degree in Social Gerontology. ( the study of Aging). I tie all of these areas together with teaching classes in my Soap Shop/Still Room. I teach Tea Making 101, Basic Aromatherapy and some Make & Take classes. I use only nature to provide the ingredients for my soaps. Essential oils, herbs for coloring, and additive, and clays.. I have a few soaps with fragrance oils as some customers requested these.. I use Sheep’s Milk Yogurt. I studied at a sheep farm. Sheep’s Milk is thicker, higher in zinc, magnesium, calcium and the b vitamins along with higher in fat great for moisturizing,  all compared to goats and cow’s milk. I plan to retire next year from Social Work. This will enable me to boost my classes and open the shop more.!!!
